The Geographical Indication (IG) Lisbon is one of the most important Portuguesewine regions, in terms of vineyard area and wine production. Formed by gentlehills, of low relief, IG Lisboa extends from the capital of Portugal to the north,always along the coast, in a range not exceeding 40 km wide. Multifaceted region encompasses several denominations of origin, ancient and modern, with distinctcharacteristics. The climate is temperate, of Atlantic influence, with relatively mildsummer, cooler and wetter in the areas closer to the sea, warmer and drier inthe areas protected by Montejunto mountain.
Ruelas was born to mirror the uniqueness of the Portuguese cobblestonesidewalk. In hornage to the craftsman masters, the art of their work is a stapleimage of Portugal, and their profession is one of the oldest of our nationalhistory. The production of these wines was done carefully, with time anda lot of passion.
Fermentation in stainless steel vats,followed by a brief aging in oak.
Made from Tinta Roriz, Touriga Nacionaland Syrah grape varieties, this Reserva combines structure and elegance, in ablend of two of the most prestigious Portuguese grape varieties with thefrench Syrah. A brief stage in wood gave itcomplexity and roundness.
